Your problem is that you can do ANYTHING you want to do,,,,so much talent, energy!
Early marriage & family worked out great for ME but, hey. I can’t sing!
Is there no further interest in medical fields?
Try out different options, travel & spread your wings. You have plenty of time for marriage/children. Give yourself the chance to see what you CAN do.

Claire, as usual, you write so well. I always look forward to what you write. I think you could write a book similar to Confessions of a Shopoholic, Nanny Diaries, etc., but with music as the subject. I, too, believe that you can do both—perform and raise a family. You could do a few years abroad, and then return and perform locally in the community that you live in. Writing stories can be done at home while the child(ren) are at school. Teaching is also an option, with summer being free to perform and travel. Yes, there is much to think about, but you are not tied down to just one option. A special-ed credential can be obtained; a few years later, you can study something else. Whatever you do decide to do, you will always hold a special place in my heart. I look forward to what the future holds for you. I love you. Mom

I think you would make an amazing special-ed teacher! You’ve always been sooo good with kids! And hey if you are a teacher, you will have more than enough time to still do your art on the side. I know many MANY artists who have an unrelated job to “support their artsy lifestyle.” My grandmother was a school teacher, but she also sang for the Sacramento Opera, taught vocal lessons, etc. She was able to do what she loved, but also get paid to do the other thing she really liked. And on top of it was able to raise a family, and see how they grew and blossomed into find adults like herself. So there is a way to have the best of all the worlds you want to be in. Just look at Carol Link, and millions of other women who have done the same thing. And also, if you do more than just music…you can avoid having what you love become a grilling-job. You know? Whatever you decide though just remember how amazing you are, and how I believe you can do ANYTHING. Because you are Claire Karoly! That’s enough said, right there.
